UWCO Adds Three New Partner Agencies

United Way of Central Oklahoma (UWCO) is proud to announce the addition of three new partner agencies to its network of community organizations dedicated to improving lives across central Oklahoma. These partnerships expand United Way’s ability to address critical community needs and connect more individuals and families with the resources they need to thrive.

The three newly funded partner agencies will join United Way’s collaborative network of nonprofit organizations working to advance financial security, youth opportunity, community resilience and the overall health of the community.

Two UWCO Partner Agencies also increased their scope by joining United Way of Logan and Canadian County, both under the UWCO umbrella. Calm Waters joined United Way of Canadian County, and Legal Aid joined United Way of Logan County. With these additional agencies and programs, UWCO now supports 134 programs at 69 Partner Agencies.

The addition of these agencies reflects the United Way Board of Directors’ ongoing commitment to investing in effective, community-driven solutions that address both immediate needs and long-term outcomes. Through a rigorous review and funding process, the organizations demonstrated their ability to deliver measurable results and align with United Way’s goals of creating a stronger, more resilient central Oklahoma.

The new Partner Agencies and programs are:

The American Red Cross of Central and Southwest Oklahoma, Disaster Cycle Services Program:

The American Red Cross of Central and Southwest Oklahoma helps communities prepare for, respond to and recover from disasters. The Red Cross provides food, shelter, relief supplies, emotional comfort, health services, financial assistance and other support to help people in their time of greatest need. Thanks to the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors, the Red Cross responds to hundreds of disasters each year in Central Oklahoma. Most of those disasters are home fires. In addition to emergency response, the Red Cross invests in prevention-focused strategies, including preparedness education and home safety interventions, to reduce future risk and strengthen household resilience.

This program aligns with United Way’s Community Resiliency focus by addressing both the immediate consequences of emergencies and the underlying vulnerabilities that increase Through a coordinated, data-informed approach and strong partnerships with local emergency management agencies, fire departments, and community organizations, the Red Cross plays a vital role in ensuring Central Oklahoma communities are prepared for, able to withstand, and able to recover from emergencies when they occur.

Dragonfly Human Trafficking Services, Human Trafficking Victim Services program:

The mission of Dragonfly Human Trafficking Services is to walk alongside human trafficking victim-survivors on their path to freedom and restoration. Since 2016, Dragonfly has been the only nonprofit in central Oklahoma holding the state-required certification from the Oklahoma Attorney General’s Office to serve victims of human trafficking. In 2025 alone, Dragonfly served 338 survivors of human trafficking.

This program provides comprehensive case management and trauma-informed care to trafficking victims of all ages and backgrounds, including family members. Services address both immediate and long-term needs, including basic necessities, therapy, legal advocacy, medical care, housing assistance, emergency relocation, and services for children. Bilingual services are also available. All services are voluntary and free of charge.

The program also includes crisis intervention through Dragonfly’s 24-hour Human Trafficking Helpline, emergency lodging, and emergency transportation to help victims safely exit trafficking or relocate when remaining in central Oklahoma is unsafe.

Dress for Success, Women’s Employment Programs:

Dress for Success Oklahoma City plays a critical role in advancing economic mobility for women in our community by addressing the barriers that prevent them from securing and sustaining employment. They serve women who are working to move out of poverty and into careers that provide long-term financial stability for themselves and their families.

Dress for Success Oklahoma City provides a comprehensive continuum of services designed to support women from interview through long-term career success. In addition to professional clothing for interviews and the workplace, clients receive individualized career coaching, resume and interview preparation, financial literacy education, and ongoing job-retention support through a Professional Women’s Group. These services directly address confidence, access, and skill gaps that prevent women from securing higher-wage employment aligned with living-wage standards.

By equipping women with the tools to pursue sustainable careers, not just jobs, Dress for Success Oklahoma City helps close the living-wage gap and strengthens economic stability for families across our community.

As new partner agencies, these organizations will collaborate with UWCO and fellow nonprofit partners to leverage resources, share expertise and expand access to services for individuals and families facing challenges across central Oklahoma.
