United Way of Central Oklahoma (UWCO) and Magellan Executive Partners have launched United we Lead, an innovative partnership that transforms leadership development into community impact by helping businesses strengthen their leaders while generating additional donations for UWCO.
The initiative creates a new model for corporate engagement. Through executive coaching programs provided by Magellan Executive Partners, participating companies invest in developing their leaders while simultaneously supporting United Way’s mission to improve lives across central Oklahoma. Magellan will donate 25% of revenue from every program coaching engagement directly to UWCO and provide additional leadership resources to nonprofit organizations at no cost.
“At United Way, we believe strong leaders build strong communities,” said Rachel C. Holt, UWCO president and CEO. “Our nonprofit partners are led by dedicated professionals who work every day to solve our community’s most pressing challenges, yet they often have limited access to the same leadership development opportunities available in the corporate sector. Through this partnership with Magellan, we’re creating new pathways for growth, strengthening organizations across our network and investing in the people who are driving meaningful change in central Oklahoma.”
United we Lead is built on a simple but powerful premise: when companies invest in their people, that investment can also strengthen the broader community.
Magellan Executive Partners provides executive coaching through experienced former CEOs and senior executives who bring real-world leadership expertise and a servant-leadership mindset to every engagement. While companies receive customized executive coaching services, Magellan extends the impact of those investments through financial support for United Way and leadership development opportunities for nonprofit professionals.
The partnership’s first-year goal is to engage 200 executives in monthly coaching programs and provide executive coaching at no cost to 50 nonprofit leaders.
“Companies shouldn’t have to choose between developing their people and investing in their community,” said Dave Bryant, executive vice president of Market Development for Magellan Executive Partners. “With United we Lead, every executive who grows through coaching also helps fund United Way’s work and puts a coach alongside a nonprofit leader who might never have had one. The best leaders are remembered for the leaders they build. This program lets every company leave that kind of legacy.”
UWCO encourages businesses interested in leadership development and community impact to learn more about the initiative and explore participation opportunities.
