Women’s Leadership Society members have the opportunity to learn about the current challenges facing our community in United Way’s bi-annual Community & Conversations events. Past events have discussed the juvenile justice system, women’s incarceration rates, behavioral health, refugee programs and homelessness. This year’s theme will focus on “The Future is Female.”
Emerging Leaders receive a firsthand look at United Way’s Partner Agencies by touring their facilities.
United Way’s Leadership Reception is a come-and-go event held to thank individual leadership donors who contribute $500 or more annually. These special guests are treated to hors d’oeuvres and cocktails.
CEOs, Employee Campaign Coordinators and campaign committee members are invited to enjoy a picnic dinner and themed team relay games. Pacesetter Games will serve as the kickoff for early campaigns and historically has been generously hosted by American Fidelity on their campus lawns. Approximately 25 corporate teams and Partner Agencies participate.

ELyLead is an event combining Emerging Leaders and YWCA young professionals. Emerging Leaders can network and learn about the YWCA, a United Way Partner Agency, and its volunteer opportunities

Raising the Stakes, the biggest recruitment event Emerging Leaders host, is a time for members to invite guests to see what becoming an Emerging Leader entails. Members and their guests are treated to casino games, drinks, hors d’oeuvres and a raffle.
