Day of Caring: Strengthening Our Community Through Service
United Way’s annual Day of Caring is one of the community’s largest volunteer events where corporate volunteer teams are matched with special volunteer projects at our Partner Agencies. Approximately 1,000 volunteers open their hearts and lend a hand during this event.
From facility improvements to landscaping projects, and even building renovations, volunteers rolled up their sleeves to help nonprofit organizations enhance their spaces and better serve the community. These hands-on projects had a lasting impact, creating more welcoming environments for the clients at United Way Partner Agencies.
Highlights of the Day of Caring:
- Hundreds of volunteers participated, contributing time and resources to support local agencies.
- Diverse projects were completed across various sectors, ranging from physical improvements to hands-on service.
- Local partnerships strengthened as businesses and agencies collaborated to make Central Oklahoma a better place to live.
The Day of Caring is more than just an event—it’s a testament to the power of community, where businesses and individuals come together to support and uplift our neighbors.
