SUMMARY:Day of Caring
DESCRIPTION:Day of Caring: Strengthening Our Community Through Service\nUnited Way’s annual Day of Caring is one of the community’s largest volunteer events where corporate volunteer teams are matched with special volunteer projects at our Partner Agencies. Approximately 1\,000 volunteers open their hearts and lend a hand during this event. \nFrom facility improvements to landscaping projects\, and even building renovations\, volunteers rolled up their sleeves to help nonprofit organizations enhance their spaces and better serve the community. These hands-on projects had a lasting impact\, creating more welcoming environments for the clients at United Way Partner Agencies. \nHighlights of the Day of Caring: \n\nHundreds of volunteers participated\, contributing time and resources to support local agencies.\nDiverse projects were completed across various sectors\, ranging from physical improvements to hands-on service.\nLocal partnerships strengthened as businesses and agencies collaborated to make Central Oklahoma a better place to live.\n\nThe Day of Caring is more than just an event—it’s a testament to the power of community\, where businesses and individuals come together to support and uplift our neighbors. \nThe Volunteer Center is ready to connect you with ways to give back to your community. We encourage you to visit VolunteerCentralOklahoma.org or email volunteer@unitedwayokc.org to learn more.  (T-shirt Sponsorship Available)
