At United Way of Central Oklahoma, we are committed to our donors. Over 200 hundred trained volunteers participate in the Community Investment process each year. They are divided into 14 subcommittees that carefully assess and evaluate program proposals (submitted annually), financial practices, and operations of each partner agency in order to develop funding recommendations to the United Way of Central Oklahoma Board of Directors.

Community Investment volunteers pay particular attention to community needs and how agency programs meet those needs, a program's impact and performance, partner agency leadership and the efficient use of United Way funds. Part of the agency review, includes site visits that provide a face-to-face opportunity to ask questions and discuss the proposal.

After funding recommendations are made and approved by the Board of Directors of United Way of Central Oklahoma, the funds are disbursed.
